In any mountain sport, the self-rescue is pending and we should all know that we rarely consider. In the case of canyoning knowledge and respect for safety standards is not enough because it takes place in a changing environment in which accidents and mishaps can attack us with ease.

This manual is proposing something new, different. Also remember the essential techniques, the authors insist on something as fundamental as the attitude and mentality as important factors in the resolution of accidents. The goal is to not be blocked if the circumstances make our knowledge, sometimes too rigid and static, are not sufficient by themselves. The conclusion is that if we know the knots and their usefulness, if we are clear how to handle mechanical devices that can bring in a ravine, where we can perform some basic maneuvers progression by strings and if we can learn the basics of the various maneuvers self-rescue, we ourselves will be able to build our own maneuvers.
